How to obtain the QAMP® recertification?
The QAMP® certificate attests the holder's broad understanding in the software quality assurance management environment.
Since QAMP® supports lifelong learning, a two-year re-certification is required, during which new evidence of knowledge and experience must be provided. This evidence can be provided for example
in form of another passed certification exam,
through further professional activity in one of the areas mentioned,
through the publication of a professional article,
or a technical lecture at a conference (e.g. Swiss Testing Day, Software Quality Days, ReConf, Seetest).
The following combinations of evidence are recognised for recertification:
nine months of practical work experience + one published technical article
nine months of practical work experience + one newly obtained certification
one new certification + one published professional article
Attendance at a workshop or tutorial + one new certification
Attendance at a 2-day professional conference + one new certification
18 months of practical work experience or
two newly obtained certifications
What are your benefits?
With the recertification QAMP®
you possess an internationally recognised certification,
you prove your extensive knowledge as a software quality manager.
You receive a free membership in ASQF e.V. for two years, including
free participation in all ASQF-Days and expert group meetings, as well as discounts at many events and conferences.
receive the SQ-Magazin - journal for software quality - free of charge for two years and have the opportunity to publish technical articles here.
prove that you are continuously expanding your knowledge in the field of quality management.
Who is the certificate aimed at?
The QAMP® Basic Certification is aimed at all those interested in the topic of quality management.
It is particularly interesting for:
Software Testers, Test Analysts, Test Engineers, Test Consultants, Test Managers, User AcceptanceTesters,
Software Developers,
Project Managers, Quality Managers, Software Development Managers,
Business Analysts, IT Directors, Management Consultants
QAMP® recertification is required two years after the respective pre-certification.
The faster information and communication technologies develop, the faster acquired knowledge and qualifications become obsolete. iSQI and the ASQF support the continuous development and expansion of your knowledge and skills and combine them in the QAMP®: the Quality Assurance Management Professional.
Quality assurance managers need competencies in the entire software development process for their work. In addition to a broad theoretical knowledge, practical skills and project experience of the quality manager are essential.
The QAMP® certificate certifies that the holder has a broad understanding in the software quality assurance management environment.
How do I obtain the QAMP® certification?
In order to obtain the basic QAMP® certification, you must successfully pass three certification exams from the following areas:
Testing (mandatory ISTQB® oder ISEB®)
Requirements Engineering (mandatory IREB®)
Specialist (e. g. Project Management, Agile Testing, Internet of Things or Software Architecture)
Recognition of equivalent certificates is possible (on request). In general equivalent certificates have to be independent of product and producer, internationally accepted, ISO 17024: 2003 compliant.
In addition, proof of at least two years of practical experience in an area of software quality assurance must be provided.
QAMP® supports lifelong learning therefore, after two years, a re-certification is required to provide evidence of knowledge and experience.
Evidence for re-certification can be provided, for example by
* another passed certification exam,
* proof of professional activity in one of the mentioned areas,
* publication of an article or
* a lecture given at an international conference (such as Swiss Testing Day, Software Quality Days, ReConf, Seetest or others).
