"AI does not replace the Requirements Engineer – it amplifies their impact. AI4RE empowers professionals to use AI as a force multiplier while retaining ownership, quality, and trust."
The AI4RE micro-credential equips Requirements Engineering professionals with structured competencies to apply AI technologies responsibly within RE processes. Participants gain practical knowledge of LLMs, chatbots, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), including their capabilities, limitations, and risks. The program focuses on AI-assisted elicitation, analysis, documentation, and quality assurance — ensuring human oversight, traceability, and compliance are maintained at all times.
How do I obtain the AI4RE micro-credential?
To obtain your AI4RE micro-credential, you will need to pass the exam. The exam consists of 22 multiple-choice questions, and you must achieve a score of at least 80.00% to pass. The examination lasts 30 minutes. For non-native speakers, it may be extended to 36 minutes.
You can prepare for the exam by attending a training course offered by a recognized IREB training provider. Alternatively, you can use the syllabus and study guide for self-study.
