Exams (including retakes) for CT-TAE v 2016 in ENGLISH will not be available after 12 June 2025 (the sunset date set by ISTQB®). Non-English exams (including retakes) for CT-TAE v 2016 will not be available after 12 December 2025 (the sunset date set by ISTQB®). Holders of the CT-TAE v 2016 continue to hold a valid certification. It is possible to take the CT-TAE v2.0 exam should you wish to update your qualification.
As a Test Automation Engineer you are responsible for the development and automation of tests. You take on the planning and implementation of automation processes and can document them. With the internationally recognised ISTQB® Certified Tester - Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) certification, you will be able to prove your knowledge and skills and take on the management of these types of projects.
How do I obtain this certification?
To be certified you must pass the ISTQB® Certified Tester - Test Automation Engineer exam.
You can prepare for the exam by attending an accredited training course for ISTQB® Certified Tester - Test Automation Engineer; participants will have relevant content and topics clearly explained and taught to them. The curriculum includes all the important topics in the field of test automation:

What are the entry requirements?
In order to take the ISTQB® Certified Tester - Test Automation Engineer exam you will need the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate. You should have at least three years of practical experience in the field of software testing.
