Quality Assurance Managers need competencies in the entire software development process for their work. In addition to broad theoretical knowledge, practical skills and project experience are essential.

The QAMP® certificate certifies that the holder has a broad understanding of the software quality assurance management environment.

How do I obtain the QAMP® certification?

In order to obtain the basic QAMP® certification, you must successfully pass three certification exams from the following areas:

• Testing (mandatory ISTQB® oder ISEB® CTFL Foundation Level)
• Requirements Engineering (mandatory IREB® CPRE Foundation Level or Agile Primer)
• Specialist (e. g. Project Management, Agile Testing, Internet of Things, Software Architecture or Business Analysis)

A list of recognised certifications can be found in the Downloads section. Recognition of other equivalent certifications is possible on request. In general, equivalent certificates must be product and manufacturer independent, internationally recognised and in accordance with ISO 17024: 2003.

In addition, you will need to provide evidence of at least two years' practical experience in a field related to software quality assurance.

QAMP® supports lifelong learning and therefore re-certification is required after two years to demonstrate knowledge and experience.

Evidence for re-certification can be provided, for example by

• another passed certification exam,
• proof of professional activity in one of the mentioned areas,
• publication of an article or collaboration on a book
• a lecture given at an international conference (such as Swiss Testing Day, Software Quality Days, ReConf, Seetest or others)
• attendance of a conference or workshop / tutorial
