*Please note: This exam is only the theoretical part of the UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience - Advanced Level, Designing Solutions (UXQB® CPUX-DS) overall exam.
This new CPUX Advanced Level certification focuses on design solutions, more precisely user interface prototypes, and thus closes the gap between "User Requirements Engineering" (CPUX-UR) and "Usability Testing & Evaluation" (CPUX-UT).
The training and certification are based on the new CPUX-DS curriculum of the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB), which is recognized by five professional associations of usability professionals: German UPA, UX Switzerland, UXpro Austria, UXPA UK and UX Danmark.
How do I obtain the UXQB® certification?
In order to obtain th certification UXQB® Certified Professional Usability and User Experience - Designing Solutions (THEORETICAL PART), you need to pass a theoretical exam (multiple choice).
You can prepare for the exams by attending a training course with a recognized UXQB® training provider or in self-study.
The syllabus defines what you need to know in order to obtain the certificate "Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience - Design Solutions (CPUX-DS)"
The practical training course focuses on the activities, methods and challenges of user experience design. You will learn how to design human-centered solutions, which information and artifacts should be available in advance and how to improve the created design solutions through evaluations.
What are the entry requirements?
In order to be able to take the exam for the UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience - Designing Solutions (THEORETICAL PART), you need the UXQB® CPUX-F certification, as well as initial experience in the areas of interaction specification and modeling, information architecture and prototyping.
Participation in a training by an accredited training provider is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
How does this certification benefit me?
With the certification UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience - Designing Solutions (THEORETICAL PART) you demonstrate that you have the theoretical knowledge to:
- understand and apply relevant terms, design techniques and methods in the context of human-centered design,
- use a human-centered approach in designing solutions,
- create and develop interaction specifications and usage scenarios to describe the future use of interactive systems, based on usage context and requirements,
- design information architectures that enable efficient access to information and functionality,
- create navigational structures and effective ways to guide and support the user,
- define and design user interfaces based on interaction specifications and usage scenarios,
- develop and iterate sketches, wireframes, wireflows, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes for evaluation.
Who is this certification for?
This certification is aimed at all interested parties who have already successfully passed the UXQB® CPUX-F exam. It is particularly suitable for all those who are involved in the design of solutions, e.g.
- usability and user experience professionals who design interactive systems,
- product managers, product owners, system developers and other professionals who are involved in the design and implementation of interactive systems
- those who are learning in human-centered design and are considering a position similar to that described above.
