In today’s IT world cross-functional teams are expected to deliver business value with the right quality at speed. TMAP® supports this new way of working towards built-in quality which goes beyond just testing.

Organizing QA & testing requires orchestrating, arranging, planning, preparing and controlling the activities. This training course enables professionals that are responsible for organizing QA & testing to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to enable teams to achieve quality ownership.

How do I obtain the certification?

To be certified you must pass the TMAP® Organizing built-in quality at scale exam.

You can prepare for the TMAP® Organizing built-in quality at scale exam by attending a training course with a recognised training provider; participants will have relevant content and topics clearly explained and taught to them.

During the training course the participants (that typically are involved in organizing, structuring and scaling the IT delivery process) would get knowledge and practical experience with the following QA & testing subjects (amongst others):

• IT delivery models (incl. DevOps, Scrum and SAFe®)
• The VOICE model for achieving business value by IT delivery
• CI/CD pipeline and tooling
• QA & Testing topics, such as: * quality & test policy * monitoring & control * anomaly management * reporting & alerting * estimating & planning * metrics and continuous improvement * infrastructure
• Organizing quality engineering overarching multiple teams
• End-to-end testing within a team or over multiple teams
• Quality characteristics and test varieties
• Personal, interpersonal and team skills for effective collaboration within and across teams.

The training course would ensure participants get experience on these subjects through short introductions followed by relevant exercises and leaves ample room for sharing experiences by all participants. During the course the participants would also practice exam questions.

For anyone wishing to self-study, the exam is available on Pearson Vue as well as FLEX exam.

What are the entry requirements?

For this training course basic knowledge of information technology, working in teams and an Agile way of working is required. There are no specific certifications required but we strongly advise to first get the certificate TMAP® Quality for cross-functional teams. It is highly recommended to attend a training at a recognised Training Partner.
