The Advanced Product Owner certification (APO) is the first open source certification scheme for agile product ownership, developed by a community of well experienced trainers, coaches and experts. APO is framework-neutral and compatible with all agile and scaled approaches.

How do I obtain the certification?

To be certified you must pass the Advanced Product Owner exam.

You prepare for the APO exam by attending a training course with a recognised nextnormal.academy training provider; participants will have relevant content and topics clearly explained and taught to them.

What are the entry requirements?

It is mandatory to attend a training course at a recognised training provider. Self-study only, as preparation for the exam, is not permitted.

Furthermore, there are no formal prerequisites that participants need to meet in order to attend an Advanced Product Owner exam.

It is recommended to have at least some basic experience in one of the following areas:

• Product management
• Project management
• User experience and usability engineering
• Business analysis
• Requirements engineering and management
• Product development
