The A4Q Testing Foundations for Developers (TF4D) has been developed by A4Q in cooperation with the German Testing Board e.V. This certification makes the content of the ISTQB® scheme even more accessible and relevant to developers (ISTQB® is the leading globally recognized certification scheme for testing).
The goal of the A4Q Testing Foundations for Developers (TF4D) certification is to impart basic testing skills to developers; it covers the essential knowledge from the test area that developers will find highly beneficial in their day to day work.
A4Q TF4D is not intended to “retrain” developers as testers but to increase competence and confidence in effectively selecting and using relevant testing approaches, methods and techniques during the development lifecycle. TF4D applies no matter what lifecycle approach is being utilized and is applicable to developers working in environments that include individuals working in a more specific “tester” role.
To be certified you must pass the A4Q TF4D exam.
There are no specific entry requirements to be eligible for this certification.
No, attending a course is a choice you make at your discretion. However, we strongly recommend that you attend a training course with an accredited training provider to gain maximum benefit and to support skills development.
